Whatever your pleasure, the Hamburg area has something for everyone. The region boasts beautiful Lake Erie beaches, public and private golf courses, bike paths, parks and trails, and newly constructed road roundabouts to ease traffic flow. Hamburg also offers local restaurants and nightlife, quaint village shops in historic districts and a full service retail corridor, a Farmers' Market, and everything in between!
And let's not forget the annual Erie County Fair- one of the largest in the country. This 10-day event is great family fun, featuring outstanding food, rides, games and attractions it is truly a showcase to behold. The Hamburg Fairgrounds has become the site of many events year-round and is the home of the Hamburg Casino at the Fairgrounds and the Event Center.
Hamburg is known for its many community events such as the Hamburg Music Festival, Town-Wide Clean-Up, Burgerfest, Garden Walk, Oktoberfest, and Hamburgh Holidays to name a few.
Hamburg's business community features some of Western New York's oldest business firms as well as some of its strongest and fastest growing up-and-comers to the area. This is a particularly strong interest to many of Hamburg's well-qualified students as they graduate annually from the educational facilities within the area. Hamburg has four great high schools: Frontier and Hamburg centralized systems as well as Immaculata Academy and St. Francis private high schools. We are also proud to have
the outstanding four-year Hilbert College, which hosts St. Bonaventure masters programs.
Known as the "Town that Friendship Built", Hamburg prides itself on a welcoming atmosphere that allows all of the great community organizations to work together on a variety of exciting projects and then get together for fun-filled festivals throughout the year!
